ABOUT THE RACES
About E1 Series
The E1 Series is the world's first all-electric foiling powerboat racing championship, sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). Launched in 2024, it features high-speed races on the RaceBird, a proprietary electric boat designed for sustainability and performance in iconic coastal locations worldwide. Teams and countries are backed by celebrities - each consisting of one male and one female pilot competing in multi-lap formats with qualifying, semis, and finals to promote gender equality and marine innovation.
Race Format
Weekend Schedule
Day1: Practice and qualifying time trials establish the starting grid.
Day 2: Heats of four boats, mid-pack race-off, and positions race. Top five
advance to the Grand Final.
How a Race Works
Six laps on a marked course with electronic SmartMarks buoys, leaving no
environmental trace.
Pilots complete one short and one long lap at any point. Infractions trigger penalty laps, avoiding disqualifications.
Teams and Points
Nine professional teams compete per season, with points awarded collectively.
Cumulative results across events determine the season champion.
